Experience this special moment overlooking the southern Whitsunday Islands and exchange your vows on our raised tiered oceanfront deck or tropical garden setting. The natural backdrop of the sun rising and setting over the ocean top creates the ultimate picture. As the Ocean front Deck is in our grounds it is a smoke and glass free area. As we are licensed, only drinks purchased at our Salt Café, Bar and Restaurant can be consumed at the deck or on any our common areas.
We also have the option for you to combine your ceremony and reception at our outside Beach Club venue for a more relaxed oceanfront feel with its wooden tiered seating and rustic sail covering your guests while setting the mood.
In the case of unfavourable weather conditions your ceremony can be moved to the function room where your reception is to be held or in the case of ceremony only we cannot guarantee an alternative venue but will do everything within our power to house your ceremony to the best of our ability without disturbing another function.
We have two beautifully equipped function rooms and also have two outside venues to offer.
Our function facilities are smoke free and wish to advise all patrons there is no smoking where beverages or food are served or consumed. As all our grounds are licence to serve food, we have allocated designated smoking areas, and while in these areas you are not permitted to take any drinks or food. The staff will kindly direct any smokers to the designated smoking areas. And as your guests are invited to our resort by yourselves it is appreciated if your MC could announce this rule to save confusion, embarrassment or resulting in fines.
Our function rooms are licensed until midnight and we must supply all your drinks under this licence. No outside alcohol, drinks or food are allowed and such an offence will result in confiscation. Last drinks will be called by bar staff at 11.45pm with guests departing no later than 12.30am. All patrons over 18 and under the age of 25 must carry their drivers licence for proof of age on them or will be refused service. We have a wide selection of drinks available and with consideration we will try to source any special requirements. We are happy to issue you a copy of our current drinks menu but please be aware we are constantly upgrading our drink and wine selections and prices may increase. All selections are best decided upon closer to the time of your function.
The Dolphin Room
The Dolphin Room is our versatile wedding venue with high ceilings and seating for a maximum of100 people with 10 on the bridal table and 9 round tables each seating 10 guests. For Cocktail style weddings the number of guests can increase on liaison with our Coordinators. The Dolphin Room is serviced by its own bar and toilets, has a small tiled area on entry for the music set up and an area kept clear for your dance floor.
Salt Café, Bar and Restaurant
Our second function room is Salt Café, Bar and Restaurant with its beautiful lighting, glass surrounds with pool and ocean views. Salt Café, Bar and Restaurant also seats a maximum of 100 people with a bridal table of 10 and 9 round tables each seating 10 guests. The ninth round table does intrude onto the dance area and will need to be packed down after meal service if you require a dance area. For Cocktail style weddings the number of guests can increase on liaison with our Coordinators. .
The Poolside Marquee is a glass free outside venue offering its outdoor wooden tables and chairs to seat up to 40. It is possible if you require us to move the seating out and you either hire dry bars or we supply small round tables. Bar service is from our Poolside Bar.
Ocean front Beach Club
Our second outside venue is the Ocean front Beach Club with tiered bench style seats and tables seating between 50 – 60 guests. This includes a bar set up which is limited to cans of drink only and wine served in quality plastic glasses. Catering at the Beach Club is available from our Canape and Platter menus or Buffet menus only Music in both venues outside can be organised by yourselves, and operated until 10 pm due to the consideration of our in-house guests.
To assist our Coordinator in arranging your seating plan prior to your reception please complete accordingly. If you do not require all tables please cross out the table/s you would like removed. If you are having name cards for your guests and would like us to place your individual name cards on the tables, you are required to separate each tables names in an envelope. Inside the envelope you are to have a cut out copy of the following table layout with names filled in so our staff are aware who is sitting with their back to the bridal table.
